Welcome to Cyclepath in Bright Victoria
"the home of Australian Alpine Cycling"
We hire, service and sell bicycles in the heart of Australia's alpine region. In Bright you can escape into the nearby forest on a mountain bike, cruise the rail trail cycling path on a hire bike or attack some of Australia's highest mountains on a road bike.
Our website is packed with great advice on where to ride and info on how we can help you experience the alpine region on two wheels. Take a look around and we look forward to seeing you in Bright soon.

Dear Peter and the Alpine cycling guys.
Gents, a huge thank you for the local advice, Wednesday night mountain bike ride and the pizzas and beer afterwards. It is not often we walk into a town and are made to feel like locals. I cannot imagine any local surfer taking the time to make sure a tourist found the best waves. Gillian and I had a spectacular time in Bright and we will definitely be back. The trails and our Wednesday night ride were a high point for me. I look forward to riding with you again in the future. Next time we will bring our road bikes as well. Thanks again for your hospitality.
Sincerely Michael & Gillian
Video - Road Cycling in the Alps
Video - Mountain Biking in Bright
Take a virtual road ride through the magnificent Alpine region via this great video. It follows a 250km ride (often done over 2 days) that starts and finishes in Bright. This fantastic clip also pays homage to the cycling heritage of our region and we at Cyclepath salute this. Well done to the guys at Rapha for making such a great little masterpiece!
This video takes you on a virtual mountain bike ride on Bright's single track. Follow the Bright Wednesday night crew on one of their weekly mountain bike adventures. Thanks to Nick for the footage ... and for also taking one for the team (see his crash at the 2.30min mark).
'Coxy's Big Break' Visits Cyclepath
Pro cyclist says "Bright is cycling bliss"
Celebrity TV travel host, Coxy, recently visited Cyclepath and swapped his 4WD for a two wheeled hire bicycle. Coxy took to the rail trail to explore Bright and its surrounds. His two wheeled adventure took him to the Old Tobacco Sheds, the Bright Berry Farm and Boynton’s Winery. Coxy noted:
“The ride is easy and mostly flat, which means you don't need to be super fit to enjoy the scenery ... there is a network of tracks 240 kilometres long that used to be railway line. The Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail extends all the way from Bright to Wangaratta.”
